Hey, welcome to Grocery List Plus. This is the Grocery List Plus feature series, My Inventory. Today, we're looking at My Inventory. In this video, we'll explain how My Inventory grows as you use Grocery List Plus, learns your household's habits, and helps you prepare for your next grocery trip. So, what problem does My Inventory solve? Think about the things you buy regularly, milk, coffee, eggs, paper towels. Each trip starts with some familiar questions. What do we still have? What are we running low on? And what am I forgetting? Remembering everything can be a lot, especially when you're shopping for more than yourself. My Inventory keeps that information from one trip to the next, so you don't have to start from scratch every time. Hmm, okay, so what exactly is My Inventory? My Inventory is your ongoing collection of grocery and household products, along with an estimate of what you have on hand. It grows through your normal activity in Grocery List Plus. You don't need to count everything in your kitchen or keep a separate inventory checklist. And when you run out of a product, it stays in your collection, ready for your next trip. Your Grocery List helps you plan a trip. Your Inventory remembers your products from one trip to the next. Now, you may be wondering, how does this help you? Let's say coffee is something you always keep at home. As you add coffee to your lists and record your purchases, Grocery List Plus learns how often your household buys it. That helps it estimate when you may need more and suggest coffee for an upcoming trip. Inventory also connects with Recipes, Meal Maker, and Meal Planner, helping you plan around the ingredients you're estimated to have. You spend less time trying to remember everything. Your everyday planning and shopping take care of it automatically. The more you use it, the faster it learns. The faster it learns, the more accurate it will get. Okay, so how does all of this work in Grocery List Plus? When you add a product to your Grocery List, Grocery List Plus automatically adds it to My Inventory too. Your list additions and purchases help the system learn your shopping patterns. When you complete a shopping trip, it records what you bought, replenishes its estimate, and marks those products Full. As time passes, Grocery List Plus uses what it has learned to estimate when you may be running low. Recipe planning adds another piece of information. When you add ingredients to a list from Recipes, Meal Maker, or Meal Planner, Grocery List Plus subtracts the ingredient quantities from its estimated supply and updates its replenishment estimates. For example, suppose your lasagna calls for 32 ounces of spaghetti sauce and Grocery List Plus estimates you have 24 ounces. It recognizes that you're about eight ounces short and makes spaghetti sauce a Suggested Item. You don't have to go into inventory and mark it Low or Out. These are estimates that become more personal as you use the system. You remain in control of what you actually buy. Sounds useful, right? Let's talk about how you get started. Start with your next Grocery List. The products you add become part of My Inventory automatically. Grocery List Plus also offers common household staples when you first get started. This is what we call your Initial Inventory. If you want that head start, choose the products your household uses and confirm them. You can also mark regular purchases as Recurring. Prefer to start with your own products? Choose Skip for now. Your inventory starts empty and you can build it as you make lists and shop. Or if you'd rather start by adding the products already in your kitchen, you can add them directly to My Inventory. Either way, you don't need to catalog your kitchen before you begin, unless that's your preference. Once you've started, what do you need to do to keep it going? Just keep using Grocery List Plus for your everyday lists, shopping, and recipe planning. There's no extra inventory maintenance required. Your activity helps the system refine its estimates over time so it can keep helping you prepare for the next trip. You can visit My Inventory any time from the side navigation. See the products you use, review Suggested Items, and choose what to add to your next Grocery List. Want to add something already in your kitchen or make a correction? You can do that too. You can also remove products you no longer buy and mark your regular purchases as Recurring. Grocery List Plus keeps learning as you use it. These options simply give you more control whenever you want it. For a deeper dive, we'll provide a full Inventory tutorial dedicated to exploring the features available in My Inventory and showing you how to use them. Next in the feature series, we'll explore Recurring Items and Suggested Items and how they help you build your next Grocery List. There's one more thing to cover. How does Grocery List Plus keep you informed? Grocery List Plus can suggest products when it estimates you may need to replenish them, including ingredients needed for your recipe plans. Early estimates use typical purchasing patterns as a starting point. Your activity and purchase history help personalize them over time. Review those Suggested Items and decide what belongs on your next list. You can also receive restock reminders by email or text message. In Message Settings, choose your delivery preferences and set a weekly limit for restock reminders. Grocery List Plus can also alert you when a recall matches a product in your inventory. Open the alert to review the recall details and affected products. Start with your next list and let Grocery List Plus learn as you go. Thanks for watching. And remember, Spend Less. Eat Better. Shop Smarter with Grocery List Plus.
