Cookie Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-04-12

What this means for you

Cookies are small files your browser stores so sites work properly and remember you between visits. We use them to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and — if you allow it — to show relevant ads. You can change your choices anytime via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

1. What are cookies

Cookies and similar technologies (web beacons, pixels, localStorage, device IDs, mobile SDK identifiers) are small pieces of data stored on your device by websites and apps. Some are essential — the site cannot work without them. Others help us understand usage patterns or deliver relevant advertising.

2. Cookie categories we use

Strictly necessary (always on — cannot be disabled):

  • Authentication tokens so you stay signed in
  • CSRF protection tokens
  • Language and currency preference
  • glp_consent — remembers your cookie-consent choice so we don't ask every visit

Performance & analytics (optional — opt in via Cookie settings):

  • Google Analytics 4 — aggregated pageview and event data; retention 26 months
  • Crash and performance monitoring — diagnostic info when something breaks

Advertising (optional — opt in via Cookie settings):

  • Google AdSense / AdMob — serves ads and measures whether they're relevant
  • Conversion pixels from ad platforms — measures whether an ad we paid for led you here

4. How to manage cookies

You have three layers of control:

  • In GLPlus: click "Cookie settings" in our footer to toggle each non-essential category on or off
  • In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies; doing so may break sign-in and preferences on many sites
  • Across the ad industry: Google Ad Settings and aboutads.info

On mobile, "Limit Ad Tracking" (iOS) and "Reset Advertising ID" (Android) provide device-level control equivalent to rejecting advertising cookies on the web.

5. Children and cookies

We do not use advertising or performance cookies for profiles marked as children (under 13), even if the parent account has them enabled for their own profile.
